Tabella does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information, with one exception: if you turn on the weather widget, your location is sent to two outside weather services to show the temperature. Everything else you write stays in your own browser. There is no server of ours, no account, and no analytics.
What is stored, and where
Your notes and your display preferences are written to your browser's local extension storage using the Chrome storage API.

This storage area is local to your device. It is not Chrome Sync, so your notes are not copied to your Google account or to any other computer.

No other permissions are requested. Tabella cannot read the pages you visit, cannot see your browsing history, and does not run any background process.
Location and the weather widget
The weather widget is off by default. It only runs once you add it to a note yourself and allow the location prompt your browser shows. That prompt is your browser's ordinary location request, not an extension permission.
If you allow it, your latitude and longitude are sent to two places: Open-Meteo, for the current temperature, and BigDataCloud, to turn those coordinates into an area name. Both requests carry only the coordinates — no name, account, or other identifying information.
The result is cached for 30 minutes in your own local extension storage (chrome.storage.local), not on a server of ours, so it isn't fetched over and over. Remove the widget, or never add it, and none of this happens. Open-Meteo and BigDataCloud are independent services we don't operate — they handle requests under their own policies.
What is never done
- No data is sent to any server of ours. The one exception is the weather widget: if you use it, your coordinates go straight from your browser to Open-Meteo and BigDataCloud, never through a server we run.
- No advertising, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers.
- No analytics or usage measurement of any kind.
- No selling or sharing of data, because none is ever received.
Deleting your data
You are in control of everything, at all times.
- Delete a single note from the sidebar.
- Uninstalling the extension removes its stored data along with it.
- Clearing your browser data will also clear your notes. Export anything you want to keep as a markdown file first.
Children
Tabella is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Because no contact information is collected, changes cannot be announced individually — this page is the record.
